WTB W126 Car phone

I am looking for a Becker AT70BS or a Philips BSA44 that would fit onto the armrest. The set up would look like this but in grey.

Good luck. Looks like a euro only option, and you do realize that the analog network those phones run on no longer exists?

My thoughts exactly. The only W126 phones that i've ever seen were mounted in the center console until the update in 89, then they were mounted on the passengers side.

I myself often hoped that it would be possible to get these old analogs working again.

Yeah, it's for a euro 126 that had it originally but it is since gone. The hardware is still there, cables, big electronic box in the trunk and such.

I know it won't work but I'm nostalgic.

Anyway, I posted because I know there are a ton of JY divers here and figured if they come across one, I am a buyer.

You don't know unless you ask, right?

Nope

My SDL came with an Audiovox phone screwed into the middle dash by the climate control. Came complete with the rust marks on the trunk lid where the antenna was screwed on

I don't have any handy atm but here is a pic of the electronic box that almost filled the wheel well and it was shrouded by a black metal covering.

I've to you beat, my 82 wagon had two metal wall anchors in the dash right between the center vents were someone put the mounting bracket for a little round digital clock. A clean uncracked dash fixed that problem.

It's amaizing what people used to pack around for a mobile phone, compared to the deck or card size phones we have now. I remember when the old brick cell phones were all the rage
