However, I would expect it would cost quite a bit to post those to me. Postage costs are super high at the moment for individuals. Even with super company special rates I guess it would be expensive.

A hub cap weighs 6.5 kg - 2 hub caps are 13kg - banging that into the USPS postage calculator comes up with 140 USD! (package dimensions 15" X 15" X 6")

It will take 7-10 weeks, but it's cheap. I've sent MB parts to Germany this way. Amazing that someone from Germany would need parts from the US, huh?

Well sometimes it comes down to availability and price.

Even with import taxes and shipping it is sometimes quicker easier and cheaper getting parts from the US of A. The US is very customer service orientated - as in "We have a sale! Let's get on with it!". In my experience many places over here even when they are in financial difficulties do not have that attitude and they'd rather die than lower the price from the recommended retail price...
