Are you suggesting that it bolts on to an M103?

Six. With a kinda right mod you can get it to work. It has a electric clutch the you can toggle off and on. You would have to create or design a manifold setup. You can make anything work.

So basically it's no easier than dropping in a C36 M104 like another fellow did.

If speed costs money, my SE's as fast as I can go.

Thanks,
Sixto

Thank You

Put me also on the list !

Hello Guido !

I'm in the same scenario as Chris. Could you install this supercharger on a 300E ? And what can you expect from it's performance ?

Thanks for the feedback ! I'm also very interested.

Supercharger

Italian Benz,

I'm excited like the others. Would this bolt onto by 1987 W124 300E? If so, how hard to do? Mechanic only or dyi? What kind of hp increase.

I've just redone my head and replaced my water pump, ac compressor, alternator, radiator, hoses, ignition coil, plugs, wires shocks, wheels and tires. Would the supercharger put the car at risk for undo wear? It's mostly new now anyway.

If it will fit, I'll take it.

Hey Tump, i know this is a bit off topic, but how hard was it too install your ac compressor. Mines busted and I need to know if it's a DIY job and how much it would cost.

Thanks (sorry for the change in topic)

Well. Guys. Its not a do it yourselfer. You need to have someone fabricate, and intake setup for it. Its a pulley type. That has an electric clutch. So you could also toggle it off and on something like on madmax if you wanted to he he!. It will be a 1st, if anyone wants to take this supercarger and create something. Its not like its going to directly bolt right on. Don't let me mislead you guys. Its going to take some work. But for the $ of the supercharger its worth it. A normal price supercharger for european cars is 3 time that price. Its will be a good gain increase in HP . I would guesstimate 20% more HP. I'll get a pictures to you guys this week. You would have to desgin a pulley setup, and a intake setup if you want to make this work. I have no instructions on how to even begin creating this fabrication.

Thanks Guido

Things to consider for adding this supercharger to your M103:

- it needs a place to reside. The driven pulley has to be in the same plane as the rest of the pulleys. Kinda tight in my SE engine bay which is bigger than a W124 engine bay.

- it needs oil. You'll have to get pressurized oil to it and allow the oil to drain back into the pan above the normal oil level.

- it needs to be driven. I don't know if it has or will accept the same kind of pulley as the ones already in the engine. I don't think there's room between the existing pulleys and the fan for another belt system. I guess you can replace the fan with an electric fan attached to the radiator.

- it needs fuel enrichment. The supercharger will provide more air, but the engine will need more fuel. I don't know the limitations of the KE system. How much airflow can safely it respond to?

- it needs air passages. You have to get air from an air cleaner (the stock one is in a lousy place for this) to the supercharger, then from the supercharger to the airlfow meter (this should be relatively easy). An intercooler would be nice.

- it might need boost control. I know turbocharges better than superchargers. I don't know if this is a relevant consideration.

- in some places, it has to be smog legal.

There are probably a ton of other considerations.

Guido is right. If you can fabricate what you need, this is a steal. Otherwise, $2000 for a kit you can install yourself is much cheaper.

I'll buy it!

I can take it off your hands. I have the metal fabrication shop and machine shop to do the work in and pull it off. Email me at sum14u@yahoo.com and I'll arrange payment and shipping.

MBracer: If you do fabricate the needed items, count me in as a customer for the pulleys, brackets etc for my 2.6l 190E.

I have access to compressors, but not access to that kind of fabrication.

mbracer, where are you located?

You need a shop who knows what they are doing with German Cars.

I am located in Melbourne, Florida. If this supercharger has enough twist I'm going to do the engineering work for the conversion. I have already made contacts at Eaton as I was wanting to do this conversion years ago. I've already cleared a location in the engine bay.

I'm already in the process of building a 3.0L for my 190 and my concern is the blower for the SLK is too small to make the boost. It probably is alright with the 2.6L, though.I'll have to see what model it is. I believe it may be an Eaton 45 or 62. The 45 is too small and the 62 might do it.
