WTB/Borrow: 300E O2 Sensor

Hey Guys,

Does anyone have a working used (or new) O2 sensor for a 1991 300E that I could borrow? I'll happily pay shipping & then ship it back to you after a few days.

I'm trying to track down a super-lean condition in the car & everything tests perfectly w/in FSM spec, but obviously something is messing up. I wanted to swap out the O2 sensor and see if anything changed. If your sensor fixes the problem, I'll send it back to you & buy myself a new one. I just don't want to throw parts at the car willie-nillie...

Thanks!!!

I know about the Mustang ones. Trying to find someone to lend me one to see if it's the culprit first. All sensors test fine in the CIS, but obviously one of them is ****** up. I can't just replace them all... car's not worth that.

I appreciate the advice, but I've been all over this system for the last few months...

I believe you can get a Denso compatible one for $30....its almost not worth the effort to test a crapshoot old one. I'd just grab the new O2 sensor either way. Its something that if you plan to keep the car should be done regardless if you have no history. They last anywhere from 60-150k. I would assume most die early due to neglected valve stem seals leaking quarts of oil through the system.

New o2 sensor went in about 6yrs ago (+/- 30k mi???). Valves may have been done around 50k mi ago when the head was done... Would have to check my records.

The last Mustang sensor I got cost me about $75. Where can I get one for $30?

the 1990/91 for the Ford 5.0L engine. It's also a generic BOSCH# 13913. The Mustangs used two sensors, so don't let the parts guy sell you both. Also used in Volvos from the same period.
