Anyone have an 88 or 89 300TE differential???? If so I would be very interested.
Thanks!

I take it you're looking for a 3.27 rear diff? Have you called Potomac German Auto (http://www.pgauto.com) or SilverStar Recycling (http://www.silverstarrecycling)?

RC-Imports may have one, maybe even a limited-slip one. Give Rick a call. http://www.rc-imports.com

Neil,
Thanks for the info. I already checked these guys. Potomac wants $700.00 for a used one! must be gold plated. best price so far is $275 + shipping. Just wanted to check and see if any Mercedesshop members had one avalable.
BTW,
could i get a limited slip to work in my 87 300E? If so, don't i need to make an electrical connection?

Yes, there is a version of Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) that uses electronics, but most are mechanical using clutches. BTW- don't confuse LSD with ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation).

The 3.07 LSD I'm using is out of a Euro 190E-16V with my original LSD rear cover to fit. It is purely mechanical and was a simple bolt-on procedure.

Call Rick.

Neil-

I've been looking for the 16v 3.07 with lsd to give my 190E some traction. Where did you find that one and how much did it set you back?

Give Rick a call at RC-Imports in Rockville, MD.
http://www.rc-imports.com

I paid about $400 for a rebuilt & slightly used one.
