WTB: W123 Black Dashboard w/o cracks

I currently have a 1977 240D that needs a new dashboard.

I just priced out a complete restoration of the old one, and I am turning to the forums to find a non-cracked NOS replacement instead. I need a black w123 dash without the temp sensor.
Please PM me if you have said dashboard available and we can negotiate a price. I am in the Southern California area and can drive a couple hours, or we can arrange UPS shipping if not in my area.
Thanks in advance.

I got a cracked free 240 dash. PM sent.

Not NOS, but if DV's free but cracked one won't do, there is a 1977 240D near me which has a crack-free black dash. But there is some damage around the ignition switch, looks like heat has been applied at some point. But it doesn't look too bad. No choke switch included but it has the hole. Asking $120 shipped.

If you are picky.....

...there are two different vinyl grains used on w123 cars.

Early, 77-79 and late 80-85.

Late has a leather grain look that matches the seats, and early has more of a "busy", less grained, look (also matches seat finish).

Interiors with the elephant ear headrests have the early surface, rectangular headrests have the later.

I'm looking for a dash too for my 79 300TD, black as well. If the OP doesn't want either of those I may be interested. PMs sent.

Jim,

I'm not really that picky, but presently I've got about seven sizable canyons in the dash that shed foam bits too much for my taste.

i have two that are not perfect but certainly better than your description of the one you have. one is nearly perfect but has a crack or two on the thin part near the defroster opening. the other has a couple of larger cracks but no innards are visible. pm if you might want some pics

Okay folks,

I wanted to update everyone on the status of my search for a replacement dashboard.

I sent payment to panZZer for his dashboard today. Those who chimed in earlier who are also in search of a W123 dash will probably want to use the contacts in this thread to find what they need.

Thank you to all who replied with dashboards available.

Another dash I have sitting in my garage was pulled from an actual '79 300TD. Does have one one-inch crack though, extending rearward from the inboard corner of the right speaker grille:

I'm looking for an early-style completely-uncracked dash if anybody has one. Willing to pay a fair price.
