I am considering selling the engine and transmission from what was my daily driver before I switched to a new car because of body rust. The engine is from an '85 Euro 300TD. I had planned to keep it as a spare for myself, but am interested in a new canoe and want to raise a little cash. The engine has 280,000ish thousand miles and I have used Mobil 1 synthetic in it since 240,000ish miles. The engine runs very strong and always started right away even in the coldest weather with very little smoke. The car has been off the road for about the last month. I removed the turbo, intake and exhaust and swapped it to my other car to get rid of all of the egr parts. I will include all of the federal turbo, intake, and exhaust parts with the sale. The transmission shifted and worked fine. I installed rebuilt injectors from C. Sean Watts with Monarch nozzles in February 2010. I also replaced the alternator with a new Bosch unit in April 2010. P/S pump is good. SLS pump is good, and A/C compressor is good. There is an oil leak between the block and the oil filter canister. The gasket is cheap and would be easy to replace with the engine out of the car. I am also sure it is due for a valve adjustment, but it ran perfectly when I quit driving it. I would sell the engine and transmission "as is" with everything included for $750 or without the alternator and injectors for $600. The engine is still in the car, but I can pull it or help pull it.
