w115 parts car no visable rust San Diego
Hey all I have a 1976? 240D parts car. The head was pulled off by a shop and then never replaced. So the engine sat open in a very sandy environment, Palm Springs. On the plus side the desert is dry, and the body of this car show little if any rust.
The trim bits are pretty picked over but some things remain. I will accept any reasonable offer for the whole thing. I might pull off some parts if asked. Oh yeah it's a 4-speed car, condition of trans is unknown but it can be shifted.

Offer to pay me some money or the tank gets it! PS it's all in tact with lid and no leaks.

Me thinks the safety is on.
How is the condition of the air filter lid and air intake hose from the lid to the intake manifold? If it is rust free, I would be interested in it. I have no idea what one is worth. |

Me thinks that if per chance after consuming 3 Green Flash I.P.A.'s I accidently shot a hole in her table to make a weak joke on the interwebs, my wife would take a dim view.
The lid is good and appears rust free. The plastic tube pictured is fine. The rubber boot between the lid and the plastic tube is rotted. The rubber boot between the tube and the intake appears ok. I have no idea what it worth either. Make me an offer worth the time to box it and ship it and we can haggle from there.

Billhard-
Thanks for getting that out and photographing it for me. I think I am going to pass. It is the rubber connector part between the lid and the tube that I am most interested in. I will stick with the electrical tape that I have on mine. Andrew |

Do you have any of the valve adjustment nuts? Also, what condition is the injection pump in? I am needing a replacement ip diaphragm. Thanks.

As for the IP diaphragm, they are still available and I sugest a new one if you are going to the trouble of replacing it.

You are probably right on the ip. I may order it from fastlane and go ahead and order the valve adjusting nut also. Thanks.
