1979 300sd, w116 body

Got a real nice 79 300sd with a 84 300sd engine in it. Very good condition, interior like new. Transmission shifts good, no slipping or flaring. All windows work, as does central vacuum door locking system. Tires are real good.
Drives very good. You can see some pics at j6zxp-3139599953@sale.craigslist.org

j6zxp-3139599953@sale.craigslist.org is an email, not a URL.

Nice! You might want to check the spelling in the listing. "transmission shifts great, so slipping." should probably read "... no slipping." And maybe "several thousands of miles" should be "several hundred thousand miles."

Greatly tempted by the color combo but I'm going to pull a shertex and say it's too far for me. I'd offer the white '87 300D if the SD has working AC.

Ok, I'll have to check my ad. I'm glad we have grammar cops. I thought this was a MBZ forum. Now I'm seeing how some people have a large number of posts.
I apologize for the link messed up. Really all you have to do is paste that in google and it comes up.

Well, Sixto; I visited my ads; the link I had all spelling was correct. My other ad; it HAS "NO" slipping; so I don't know where you got the "so" slippng from.
Thank you very much though.

When I pasted j6zxp-3139599953@sale.craigslist.org in Google, it found this thread first. The craigslist listing came up 6th. Patience isn't something I'm developing with age

I don't know what you fixed but the attached screen shot, if you can read it, from the link shared by Hogweed, and seeming to show the same email address (I didn't check every character), is what I see after refreshing the page (check timestamp of this post). I didn't mean to be nitpicky, the ad reads to me like the tranny is slipping. What I should have done rather than keep my comments to myself is send comments by PM.

I'm tempted to meet you in Amarillo to swap if you're looking for a white '87 300D. I wonder if I could sell the plan to the wife

No biggy; the pic in the attachment isn't the same c/l reference item number. I went in to my 2 ads on craigslist and neither showed that. I'll have to look into it.
The tranny is NOT slipping. Thanks.

Typos

Went to my c/l account. Forgot I had a posting on the Columbia page. THAT was one with the typos. My apologies for seeming irritated. Thanks for the kind response.

Glad that got resolved. I thought we were in the middle of a Twilight Zone episode with twin (but separated at birth) 79 300sd's with a 84 300sd engines.
