Rare w201 rear sunshade - fits w123 too?

Original, new MB part with MB instruction manual and spare pieces. I was told this sunshade also fits a w123 but I can't confirm that. New condition. Not motorized. $300 shipped

Hello Brian. Pat did that to his 123. It's adaptable.

Brian, the blue manual should state it's for both W201 and W123.

Look on lower left of blue manual cover

I assume this is not for wagons. How about coupes?

I'm not sure if it'll mount in coupes. I'd think the rear parcel shelf is different. No matter because I boxed it up and put it in storage. After the "no sale", I figured I'd just put it with my other w123 collection stuff for when I buy another one.

Here's a comparison photo for reference:

The shade, when drawn up, goes just slightly past the top edge of the windscreen on my 300D. Since I don't have a coupe I can't tell if it will fit with no problems. I'd imagine it'd be tight, mine still has some slack when I install it. The spring pulls it back and keeps tension.

On a coupe (C123) it would probably be snug/taut but I don't think it's a big difference.

This will not fit wagons, they don't have the proper space to mount this "sonnenrollo"

That looks spectacular. I always figured I'd own another w123 someday (a perfect one), so that's why I thought I'd hang onto it. It now rests next to my brand new w123 mudflaps. Awaiting installation.

Brian, I think your FS thread turned into a WTB perfect W123 thread. Get a nice W123 to install this sunshade into!

Or a W201...but you did sell your 2.3-16v right?

I sold the 2.3-16 to a hardcore AMG collector in Germany who intends on driving it on the Nurburgring for fun. That was a neat car, but my desires (and consequently the fleet) are always changing. I used the proceeds to fund mechanical progression on the Porsche 911S, and then I ended up buying a 1971 3-door Suburban 4x4. Both of which are cool as hell to me - oddly, the Suburban is as much fun to drive - it certainly gets more looks.
