It won't fit the starter is in the other side

I have a setup advertised here. I do not mention the pedal cluster but I have it and will include it.

what are you looking to get out of the 4spd kit?

I might have the coveted and highly sought after GETRAG 717.400 five speed for sale -- the entire set up from FW to the pedal assembly. It works just fine except shifting down from 3rd gear to 2nd gear, not always, but here and then you will get a grind. I have put over 700 miles on this transmission. I have no idea how old it is. It will include EVERYTHING, clutch, et cet also. I will let you know tonight if you are interested.

There's a manual 240D sitting in the Pullapart South Atlanta. Transmission is still in it.

i read that they had one down there and finally got some time and went down there and snagged it(luckily it was mostly still there). the gears feel good and all i am lacking is a slave, shift linkages and clutch kit. and of course the minor fabrication neccesary to put it all in my w126
