I'm selling the 617 naturally aspirated motor from a 1981 300CD I'm parting out. This is the 617.912 motor. The odometer showed 181k miles when I began dismantling the chassis, but the previous owner said the odometer never worked for her (she only owned the car for 6 months). I have not run a CarFax to estimate the exact mileage on this motor.

The motor has plenty of torque. I was pleasantly surprised when driving it home, as it was pretty comparable to the 617.952 in my wagon. It's also very quiet, with a smooth, even idle. I suspect the injectors must be in good shape, and were rebuilt or replaced somewhat recently.

I uploaded a video (with audio) of the motor to YouTube. Here's the link. The strange sound you may hear is the PS belt - it slips a little.

I'm asking $400 for the motor. That's for the complete motor, including the fuel injection pump, PS pump, etc. etc. The whole lot.
