Anyone parting a Euro W123?
I need a virtual needle in a haystack for a frame-up restoration. The Euro-spec W123's with headlight washer/wipers had a separate wiring harness/loom for this that plugged into the existing harness and connected the motors, relays, pump, and other paraphernalia to the existing harness. I've got all the (NOS Benz) stuff except the wiring. Good used/new is fine....I could make it, but hate to given the quality of the restoration. I'd rather find the official item. Any help/leads would be much appreciated.
Lots of nice W123 wagon parts/rustfree sheetmetal fs/trade.... Thanks! Jim Steere Crystal, MI |

Jethro,
My Euro parts car does not have headlight washers, but keep in touch. I will be restoring my Euro 240D over the next few years. I have other parts on my parts car that may be of use along the way. Enjoy, |

I'm looking at a pic of it right now...
The way this is illustrated, there's a separate harness for this stuff that is all in the engine compartment except for two wires which are snaked into the back of the instrument panel......a power feed to fuseblock terminal 58r, and a ground wire that attaches with a gigantic gob of 'em behind the instrument cluster. The reset of the harness conncets the two motors, a relay (in the relay box with the plastic cover) and the two washer pumps....one for the w/s and one for the lights.
To be honest, if I could get the engine compartment portion complete with plugs, etc......and you just cut these two as close a possible to the firewall I'd be positively overjoyed. Much appreciated! Jim |
