It was directed at you. Thanks.

Your car has the 3.07:1, right? Sorry, I'm more knowledgeable on the W123...

I'm ready to take you up on this, if it isn't too much of an imposition. I'd be interested in interior pictures (specifically: package shelf w/speakers, back seat, dash, and center stack -- with the radio included), along with a photo of the cracked condenser. Let me know if you can grab any.

Are the seals original, or do they look to have been replaced at some point?

Look to be original. I have a 126 rear window seal that I will be including. I bought it for my brown car but never used it.

Sweet. That would enable me to buy a windshield seal so that I could start fending off rust...

Sure. Just have TBOmachines PM me the address and a good time when I can swing by (It's slow at work right now so it's actually perfect timing)

If I pay you something, could you also slip under the car to make sure that no underbody rust has developed during the time it ha been sitting? I'm paranoid about this because I'm suspicious that this is how my car developed some of the rust that's leading me to part it out (granted, it sat for nine years...).

As mentioned in the original ad here, there was some rust on the passenger rocker (near the front jack point. It seemed to come from the battery box area. The structural part was repaired at some point and is solid, you can see it in the wheelwell. Other than that there is/was zero rust when I parked it. Jacking up using the point was fine (as well as putting it on jackstands) Certainly free to take a look though, I don't think anything else has developed. I will PM Fulcrum with the address - one problem is that the person who lives at the house does not have keys to the car so it'd have to be looking-in at best. I also have a bunch of the transmission stuff and tools in back so it might be hard to see how that seat is. I'll be coming up this weekend though--I'd like to get all the spare parts dug out of the basement, sorted and good to go, make sure I didn't leave any tools in the car, etc.

How are the trailing arms on the car you are parting out?

Let me know what a trailing arm looks like and I will let you know . It's a W123, though -- don't know if the parts would work in a W126.

EDIT: They're trashed. Sorry.

Just spoke with tbomachines earlier this evening; at this point, unless something is undisclosed/unnoticed (don't see how, he is very thorough), I will probably buy this car the weekend after Easter. I will drop the transmission from rust bucket 300D into this one (after a tail shaft swap, of course) and hopefully have a running 'Benz diesel for the first time in my life . I'm very excited.
