Worth Getting? Like New Alumnim 15X7 Centra Wheels

There is a set of four aluminum 15X7 Centra wheels available in the local wrecking yard. They look brand new. The bad thing is that the center caps are missing. Are they worth getting to resell? I can probably get them for $30 each, my cost X4=$120 + my time + shipping = ?

There was a coupe with a set of Rials on it, but it got crushed already:

Yeah, this coupe makes me sick to my stomach... no rust and nice original paint. I've seen a few out here like that.

I thought you meant the paint color made you sick

It is in good shape for a scrapyard car. If you have the space and budget, I would get those Centra wheels. You can later on find the center caps and piece them together to sell as a complete set, or just sell (pass on) to a fellow member.

wow...

oy, sure as hell wished it weren't so far away! Would love to strip out all the glass for one thing for sure! Window regulators. All the body trim that is straight, door checks...Definitely would grab those Centra's too! What year coupe is that?

It's a 1979. I actually like the color and it had some neat pinstriping. Unfortunately, I don't have the money or the space for the wheels unless someone wanted them enough to pay me for my time, shipping, etc. Still a shame, as they are nearly perfect and aren't the chrome-foil-covered type.

That would be nice, but I've so far never been to a yard that allows you to purchase cars once they are put out. I've asked several times and always get a rude, "No, you buy what you need from it, we are not moving a whole row of cars just to get one out for you."

If a PnP said that to me, I would ask what they want for all the cars leading up to and including the Mercedes. The worse thing that would happen is I'd end up buying and parting out all of the cars and then selling the steel to a scrapyard.

You should ask to speak with their manager for customer service!

Can you be put on a list to be notified when a nice rust-free 'Benz with good paint comes in?

SHOCKER!

Agree with the consensus, that is far too good an example to be scrapped. Great bones. Pegs the blood pressure needle for a moment too. What a waste.

BINGO. Few more items I would check to confirm but the 20 foot view is lookin way good.

BTW - Sweet screen name dood. ROXON! If being a genius and madman in one weren't enough already, throw in a heaving helping of the best driver that ever raced and will ever race, on this rock at least. Simply serendipitous. Once in a lifetime stuff. Stoked it took place during mine. Pity having to replay such a short span of clips tho.

Enough vinegar, try the honey. You might just get lucky. It does happen, ask me how I know.

OP - Location of yard?

I got time and an extra bennie to drop on fuel. Might even be able to jack pop's pete 379 w/o him knowin. Ya right.
You seen any other 123 coupes/wagons in similar condition nearby? I know, I know, there ain't too many unicorns over in this part of the desert either. Thought I'd ask.

The reason these cars end up at pnp around him, is that most of Arizona requires emission testing on diesels....even the old ones! Most owners don't know, you can simply fill up with Bio and they will pass.....so they end up at the pnp's.....just wait till California makes it mandatory!
