WTB 107 Euro left marker lens & console surround

Just bought rough 79 450SL. Need missing left amber Euro corner marker turn lens. Also, wood console surround veneer is missing, and missing a clear fog lens.
How do I know if car is Euro or US? Has Euro headlights & tailights, but US bumpers. Don't know what to look for about emission equipment to tell if Euro or US? Also, naive newbe, is car W107 or R107? Thanks for any help!

R is technically correct, but W is more widely accepted. Are your guages Metric? Any stickers only in German?

Thanks for R vs W reply! Gauges are US. Names (like on fuse panel etc.) are English. Vin is just numbers. Thanks!

So, it's single rectangular headlight and the rear taillights have amber lenses as they wrap around the side of the fender, no red lens (or light) at the very end?

The amber lens on the front assembly is glued(?) to the frame of the light unit, and are generally sold as an assembly.

Most likely you have a USA spec car that someone dropped a set of euro headlights into in place of the four rounds.

Tail lights are amber around to end. Yes, front corner driver side amber light is in good condition with missing lens that appears to have been glued. Hoping to avoid cost of complete new with used light, or good lens that can be reglued. Thanks!

A '79 US VIN would just be numbers also (preceded by WDB). Standardized 17 digit VIN for US market vehicles did not begin until the 1981 model year. A US model will have a metal VIN plate, visible through the windshield, mounted on the drivers side "A" pillar. It will have raised numbers, not stamped. US model will also have a Federal Certification Plate riveted to the drivers door jamb. Also raised numbers with build date and VIN.

The amber side lenses in the euro headlights are not glued in. The are attached to the frame with three nuts. The studs are molded into the lens. You have to remove the entire headlight assembly to remove.

OE Bosch fog light lenses are available for $6.50 each from on line seller. Can't post the link here.

Previous life dealing with VINs and abuses of same.
As for the 107 Euro headlights I have rewired a few for US use in my vehicles. Those side lenses are getting difficult and expensive to find.

Rowdie - Great news on lens! The light does have 3 studs with small remnants of amber plastic. Haven't found just lenses and assumed I'd need $200 light. Knowing it should be available, I'll look til I find. Thanks!
Great informed tips on ID. I'll check tomorrow. Thanks!

You may have to search across the pond. IIRC they are no longer available new from MB. Last MSRP was $224.00 each. Here is a new lens on Ebay UK but not OE bosch. Remember dr side in the UK is right side. Our pass. side.
Mercedes-Benz SL 107 O/S Drivers Side Indicator Lens | eBay

The SL Shop is a well known reputable seller over there.

Rowdie, Jim F, Melted - Clear now with your ID help that car is US spec with Euro head & tail lights. Find I paid less for the running car & top than what the lights are worth!
Ordering left lens from SL Shop. Not sure yet how to deal with UK money & postage but they will let me know. 1st place that actually has the lens! Thanks for the tip!
