Do you know if W123 steel wheels (or Alloy steel look-a-likes) fit without issue? Same offset? |

I don't believe W123 wheels are interchangeable with W201....

Herm. Offsets are different. i can find people trying to fit W201 wheels to W123s, but not the other way around. Let me try and fit a wheel tomorrow and get back to you. i was hoping that a W201 steelie was in existence stateside. I'd rather be running steel on this old thing.

I already have my snow tires on 14" bundts on the car I am retiring soon....so if those fit right onto a W201 that would be awesome. I doubt they will though....

Try one on the front and let me know if they work. I don't think there'd be any issue on the rear, unless it was an ABS car or something.

It was ABS. But its not currently....I'll see if I can test them out this weekend...

I thought the W201 wheels were all 15 inch. (I could be wrong - but I think I read it somewhere)

Yeah just the 1984's did. I have a set of nice 14" snow tires....so I will probably need 14" w201 rims to use them on my 190d....

The ones I have are 14 inch, but I still need to find out if I have (or can get) a set of steelies that will run on this 190.

Ah ha - the W201 FSM has a bit about this. In 1984 (some of) the wheels were steel but were narrower than the W123 ones 5J X 14 - most W123 ones where 6J or 5.5J depending on vehicle weight and model
