Yeah. I'll put it in the Buick. I hear it's a direct swap if I put in a Tremec 6-speed.

hows the passenger rear wheel arch?

I need this piece in a patch panel- attached image

EDIT- to clarify, the second pic shows a mirror of what I need for the passenger side. I cut this from a good driver side-

JB3 ---

From looking at the pics in Post #1 of this thread, I don't see any rust issues on any of the wheel arches. I'll take a closer look at the passenger arch in person; it will be Saturday before I get to the car.

sunroof delete option

If anyone wants to delete the sunroof with a welded in panel, I'd be happy to cut the roof out of this car.

I don't think so. The tobacco is darker. I think someone must have swapped interiors on that car. That is the only explanation for the batman headrest.
Tobacco is indeed. I have tobacco in a 1980 300SD and this looks the same. There is also a yet darker shade of brown in some W116's called Brazil that you may be thinking of (don't know if it also came in W123's).

The car in this post is indeed bamboo. Here's how I tell the difference when looking at a tan W123 interior:
* Is faded to pink? It's palomino.
* Is ugly? Is palomino.
* Looks nice with an unexplainable appeal, never fading to pink? Is bamboo.

To be fair, I did point out this difference...

If you don't end up using/wanting the 6-pleat skins, let me know as I may have a good use for them.

When you open the BIG box, please check to be sure the corner of the C pillar trim survived. I was really concerned about it.....I figured if the loaders didn't throw it on that corner it would be okay.

I hope you don't have to carry that BIG box very far.....it weighs 48 lbs.

It does have a small chip but its still in much better shape than the one its going to replace. I haven't totally gone thru everything but I did lay the seats out flat to get the creases out from shipping. It looks like everything made it okay though.

Per our phone conversation, here are a bunch of clarification pics of the repair piece I need-

so from the inside, would be the reverse of this-

I think if you just go angle down slightly from about this position outside, with a sawsall you could get both the inner and outer fenders-

approximately the line you would follow-

this is the inner support structure you want to avoid (sawsall might just zip through this though)-

gets a little more complex here, but easier to cut. I have horribly labeled O for a cut from outside, T for a cut that can be done from inside the trunk, and U for a cut from underneath-
