82 240d/4 speed manual nice car for parts
So it seems the wiring in this car is too far gone for me to repair so I've decided to part out my 82 240d. The car is still fully drivable but it has some rust in the usual spots and the reason it's off of the road is because after chasing melted wires from the tail lights to the dash I've realized it will take a lot to get it sorted out. The more I've messed with it the more the lights and turn signals act up. It's a shame to have this problem on such a decent car that really would have plenty of life left but I guess that's what makes a great parts car. -_- You could drive the car home if you had someone to follow right behind you. I'd like to sell it whole but parting it is an option. It has a nice plastic dash cap under the carpet dash cover and blue interior is in great shape. Let me know what you're looking for and where you and we can work out a deal. I'm in the Melbourne, Fl area.

I'm open to offers. I need to do something with it so I'm thinking about pulling the motor and trans, grabbing what I can out of the interior and sending it to the scrap yard.

HOw much rust in the usual areas? I have a lot of spare parts for this car, but don't need another rust project. Any pics of the rust?

Here are a few pictures of the rust. It's the driver side cowl under the windsheild, the driver side floor/corner and the passenger side where the trim goes between the rear door and the rear windsheild.
