WTB: Cruise Control Unit on Back of Speedometer

Looking for the cruise control sensor on the back of the speedometer for my 85 300d. It is the small back deal with one connector, and held in with one screw.

What's wrong with yours? They are easy to test...

Quote:
. 4. To check the speed transducer, remove the left hand cover under the instrument panel.
On early models the transducer is located in line with the speedometer cable. On later
models, it is a small black box about 1" square mounted on the back of the
speedometer head. (You may have to push the instrument cluster out of the dashboard to
reach the backside of the speedometer). Unplug the 2-pole connector from the transducer.
Connect an ohmmeter to the transducer. Early models should read 50 to 106 ohms; later
versions should read 650 to 1370 ohms. If these values are not attained, replace the
transducer.

It is in more pieces that originally designed. That may explain why the cruise hasn't worked since I bought it..

Ohm test it before you get it.....it may be for an early cruise system......I accidentally installed one on mine from a later model.....so my cruise amp.....can't read it properly...... So now I need the 50-160 ohm one because mine measures into the 4 digits ohm range....

I may have one for you Coolijay.....there was one on the '79 speedo I bought, and I'm about to get (hopefully) a proper '82-85 3.07 speedo.

When I do the swap I'll test the ohms on the '79 speedo and send you out the amp if it tests out.

That's it! Same part number as what I have. I would assume that since it has the same part number that it would have the correct resistance? What do you want for it?
