There is a cutoff VIN number for early or late 240D's.
These would be for the later 240D's. I don't know what the cutoff VIN number is but your parts guy should know. Your '83 should be the later version as well.
Yes, it was a euro but it doesn't matter for these lines.
US and Euro are the same.
