These have always been freebies given out by Mercedes-Benz as an award for high mileage vehicles. However, there aren't a whole lot out in circulation, so depending on the style and mileage, they can be valuable. I got the 250,000 and 500,000 km badges for my 1980 300SD. My 1968 200D had the 500,000 and 750,000 km badges.

My roommate has been looking for the 100,000km badge as he has a 200,000 km already.

The different sizes has more to do with different years they were made. At one time, the really high mileage badges were gold plated, but now they are all identical.

here is what they look like the 100K and 200K are pretty big and the 500K is gold and smaller (it looks newer, maybe 80's)

Those are cool, they look older.....I like them because they have the age and patina on them......one day I will get a few for my grille, even though I am not certain the actually miles of my car....
