WTB REAR GLASS - 1980 300CD

I am in need of a good rear glass (rear windshield) for a 1980 300CD two-door coupe. It has that big curve in the glass.

I assume that glass works in a number of other models.......as long as it is a two-door, right?

I have found a few used ones here & there using Car-Part.com, but the closest one to me is 275 miles away.......and I can't seem to find a seller that is willing to ship them.

Can you advise me on a parts yard I may try in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area.......or perhaps Little Rock, Fayetteville, Tulsa, or Texarkana?

Or do you know anyone that will ship a used back glass?

Any ideas with my predicament would be most appreciated. I am a novice at buying old parts for an older car. Could well be I am not thinking of something. I had posted WTB ads in the Fort Smith Craigslist, but had no luck. I see the glass on Ebay, but it is all 'local pickup only'.

Thanks a bunch!!

The Pick n Pull in Moss Landing, Ca, has two 300 CD's as of 2 weeks ago. There is a glass shop next door (I think they are part of PicknPull). They may pull the rear glass for you and ship it. Moss Landing is located 25 miles south of Santa Cruz on Highway 1.

PNP will not pull the glass for you. I think you can do better finding one closer to you.

Look on PNP`s site and type in what you are ooking, that is the model vehicle. It won`t tell you what parts they have etc... you find the car/part and you pull.

Pick-n-Pull » Home

There is row52, sign up for it and list what you are looking for, and when it comes in, you will be notified. This is listed on their page, but here it is.

Row52 | Search for vehicles at self-service auto recycling yards!

Remember the Coupe rear glass is only coupe specific. the Sedan glass will not fit. a lot of the parts are Coupe specific, and a lot are the same as the coupe and Sedan are a w123 body.

Rear glass 300CD

Wow........GREAT links!

Yes, I found out they would not pull the parts.

I found a 300CD at Dallas, but I could not tell if the glass was still in the car by the picture. I called them, but they said someone would just have to go look at the car itself.

I found some independent 'Parts Pullers' listed at the site and emailed one to see if we can manage something.

Thanks a BUNCH for that info Charlie, I appreciate it!!

I got a good rear glass from PNP, Dallas.

I had a real good fella, Eric, an independent puller that yanked it out for me, took it to UPS, and shipped it here.....in one piece......if you can believe that!! Too cool!

THEN, the bad news........I had mistakenly looked up what a new seal would cost for a 300D ($45).......NOT a 300CD ($200)!! Busted the budget wide open, as I was doing well just to get the glass right now.

Oh well.......I am PROFESSIONAL at shootin' myself in the foot!!

Glad those links helped you.

This thread is about installing a window seal in a 123, not a Coupe but probably the same way. In post #8 there is a link to Precision, and they have after market seals that seem to fit. You might have to sign in a make up a ficticious business name, think they sell to shops. I don`t have the coupe rear window part #, and don`t see it listed on pelican or that az site.

Window seals Help!
