WTB: Looking for 190d Guide Rail
I posted over in diesel discussion but have not received any replies.
As the title states, I am looking for one of the timing chain rails for a 1984 190d 2.2 non-turbo. The old part number that was removed does not match up with any numbers that I have pulled up on the epc or other sources. I figured that the part may have been superseded, but the new rail is far longer than the old one and does not fit properly. There are two part numbers on the old rail. One is located on the black rubber that comes in contact with the timing chain, and the other is stamped on the metal rail itself. The two numbers are: 601 050 03 16 kz and 601 050 02 1_ The old rail is in too bad of condition to reuse, otherwise I would consider it. Thanks for any advice or help.

I would check with a dealership parts dept. If they have the VIN of your vehicle they can confirm which engine/which part you will need.

Will a rail from a 2.5, om602 work? If so, I have one.

Got it squared away. The new rail ended up working just fine. Thanks.
