I like the picture of them side by side. It shows succinctly why it's easier to put a 5-speed onto an M103 than it is to do all the straight 6's that came before it.

For that kind of money your better off adapting a 201 trans. That is the same kind of money for one from Germany.

AS much as I really want a 5 I'm sticking with my 4. Easier to replace or fix if it ever goes. these things are unicorns...

Im in Europe, 717.400 kit is 2000 dollars including shipping, 717:401 I think it would be a little bit cheaper.
