MARKET PRICE FOR OM617 AND AUTO TRANSMISSION?
I am parting out an 83 300D with the auto tranny. The car has 190k miles and has great compression and recently adjusted valves. It leaks a bit around the main crank seal up front and the IP shutoff could be replaced. The transmission could use vacuum adjustments, but other than that it's ready for service.
Is there a reasonable price range to ask for this, including all accessories (non working A/C)? $600? $1,000? THANK YOU!! |

The trans is worth $150.
The engine is worth $500-$1200 depending on if you start it while entertaining potential purchasers or not. They only want to shell out if they know that it runs good.

I could see the tranny being between $100-$250, depending on condition. I suppose it depends on where you are.

Cool. It's still in the car. Runs great (just drove it to/from Ohio and Chicago with no issues) shifts well, etc.
