I just don't have the time, and not matter how nice the fantasy, the reality I am in says I won't get to make her look as good as the day I bought her.

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided I need to part her out. She needs the tank steam cleaned, and then she would run again, but I have been wanting to do that for a looong time, and just haven't gotten to it.

I want to part the car from the inside out... Can't have the neighbors complain about a half dismantled car.

Post your wish list of parts you are hunting for. The body (last thing to go) is too rusty for you to want, except for the fenders and hood. The fenders were replaced just before I bought it - they need repainting.

Transmission was rebuilt less than 100 miles ago. Head was redone by Mercedes trained mechanic less than 2k miles ago. Seats are good (brown tex) wood is shot. Also have a rebuilt starter that I bought because I could.

I would be interested in the driveline especially engine and trans. Head was done but does it run? Thanks

Interested in the climate control unit and heater core if complete and functional. I have a 1968 280S with a leaky core and inoperative heater controls. Also interested in the motor with all FI parts if in good condition and there are not other takers. Lastly, brake booster and master cylinder if in working order.

I'm looking for a stock steel wheel in good condition with a 1971 build date.

Do you mean the slide controls on the dash that get sticky and the refuse to move?

The heater core is good, but probably would towards the end of the list, as I understand that at the factory, the core was suspended in mid air, and the car was then built around it

Let me know if you have a good one, I'll pay to dismount the tire too so the rim alone can be shipped. Easier & cheaper to ship the wheel alone with no tire on it.
