"Cautious" in this situation means that I would be very careful in dealing with the donor of the car or any of the parts. To simply ask for an explanation of a term used and to receive such a "heated" reply from the donor/seller leads me to feel that there is something potentially wrong with any transaction with this fella.

I honestly don't understand why he was upset by such an innocent question.

I actually preferred the PG-13 version of post 18. It made my day earlier today.

It was more exploring a distinct possibility which seems to have a possible basis, but I would say this is an inappropriate use of the forum.

I'm going to delete my posts from this thread and wish the OP GLWS.

<10 minutes later>
There! I'm out of this thread.

Jackson - good luck with your car, I hope someone is able to utilize it and all of the parts.

Thank you

I think I have someone coming this weekend to get it all, that would be great if it happens. I don't want to take it to the scrap yard, if someone can use it.

As for my earlier posts, I'm sorry if anyone got there feelings hurt. They say you get more tolerant/patient with age, however , recently I've been easily aggrevated and less tolerant than usual, can't really put my finger on it. I'm usually pretty laid back.

I appologize to Scooter and any others who may have been "scalded" by my heated replies. I've always been treated well here and received help on many occassions. I wish to continue on a civil and respectful journey with all who enters this forum.

I was kind of chalking it up to unrelated stress in life. Sorry if I contributed it to it and I appreciate your words above. We are on the same page regarding wanting the forum to be a fun and useful place to be.

I'm very happy for whoever is getting your collection of car and parts. I also try hard to never destroy something that others can use. Someday my parts car will be disposed of in a similar manner (1960 220S) if I can ever decide what things I want to salvage from it... (like engine or carbs or... the car can actually be driven if I put the clutch slave cylinder back in...)

can you please clarify what you mean by unibody? i posted a picture of one on page 2 but it seems that you were saying in one reply that the quarters and roof are not gone.....by unibody are perhaps meaning a subframe component?

a google image search for unibody yields this:

to call anything minus that amount of structure "complete" is just absurd, imo (or an attempt at humor:?)
then he says "you can't unbolt the rear quarters or floor....think before you post" like those parts are still there???
i'm guessing the front sub-frame is gone......

I think the one I bought was an anti complete less unit body, . . something not dissimilar, or some other double negative.

Car is safely ensconced in the garage until I get some other projects done.
