FS/T: 205/65/15 tires
Two nice pairs of used tires from Pick-N-Pull. Bought them for my 1985 190D but they seem a little too large for this car.
$50/pair (plus shipping) or trade for comparable 195/65/15 tires.

For reference, my 97 C280 calls for 195 65 15 but I'm running 205 65 15 on 7" wide AMG sport wheels. The wheel wells are full but nowhere near rubbing. The AMG tire would be 205 60 15

Still available. Just got a new '85 190D with 205/60/15 tires (apparently the AMG size) so I no longer need to trade for different size tires, but still open to trading for W123 or W201 parts. Make me an offer!

You should share the date code on them, because tires much over 7 years old are worthless and unsafe...

Not always, it depends on exposure to sun , hot climates. You have to watch older tires for cracks and either remove them or, if slightly cracked, limit them to around town sub 40 MPH and stop at the first sign of vibration. The tires on the Dodge I got for Mom ( in 95 ) are from 1997 and still fine. Granted the car is garaged and sees limited use. Tires on my 1 ton pickup are from 2000 and just fine. Tires on the lived in SO Cal 97 C280 I bought last year were from 2010 and completely cracked to the point the side walls were leaking so there was no way I kept them. |

I doubt they are that old, as I got them from Pick-N-Pull earlier this summer. Didn't know tires had date codes, but I will check when I get home and post back.

#1--Coming from PicknPull should make one wary how long they've been exposed to the elements;
#2--Without noting the date codes as mentioned by pawosd, your'e missing the first piece of info to start your analysis. Because as we all know......... looks can be................ Look on the side of the tire where its says DOT and post the four digits for the date code. Thx. |

So both are 7 years old. May have sat on a shelf for a long time, they don't look old.
Different manufacturers have different recommendations for when to replace tires. Some say 7 years, others say 10.
