Wow, that engine is a good buy at $100, even if it's bad (is it?). If it's bad, would you sell just the intake and exhaust manifolds?

Also, if the engine is bad, I believe someone would be interested in the smaller upper oil pan that is specific to the W116 for better fit in another make.

The engine needs the rear main seal replaced, valves adjusted. If it where me and I had the engine pulled out like that I would replace all the seals. The engine ran terrific even diesel purged till it was clean. Ideally I would like to sell the entire engine, hence the low price. I am unable to imagine sending this engine to the scrap yard. Are they MB tex? I honestly have no clue if they are real or fake leather.

Where is the car located? Wondering about shipping or the possibility of picking up parts.

Thanks.

updated with location, engine ran good, did require oil each time I got home and parked. Will need a chain tightener and bolt, about $200 part or a used one will work. I pulled the part from this engine for the other car I have. I have the part numbers.

I have removed the radiator and power washed the fins not to long ago. They are in very good condition for the age, and clean might i add.

Here are the pictures of before it was cleaned, nealry all that junk has been removed and you can see through the radiator once again. I would recommend a flush of the system once this is installed
