While you may think that euro hitches look cool, they don't provide the required (in the states) connection for safety chains. If you don't care, fine. If you lose a trailer you might have a big liability issue.

Oh, I don't know...Oris Euro hitch with trailer safety chains connected to rear tow hook on the coupe. Drove from Newport Beach, CA to the Jersey Shore and back over 7,000 miles and 9 months. The trailer hitch called for a 2" ball. The Oris is 1mm smaller. No hitch problems.
