Got some fintail w111 Stuff...

Just wanted to put a note in that I just got some finnie stuff, being a w123 guy not a finnie guy....wasn't too positive on what to grab...

Sad sad to see it in the junk yard, last registered 1993...wasn't prepared for this, went there just for a w126 temp display...so just brought minimal tools in, also am sick as a dog!

I have to clean everything up, and attempt to figure out prices..

I have..

Solex carbs
wiper arms and blades
center arm rest for front seat with bottom cushion
crowl vent chrome
clock
center caps with beauty rings
oil cap
radiator cap
Grill...gotta hang this puppy on the wall!

Poor car was rotted bad, but not horrible...floor pans some frame, all the chrome was pitted, stainless was okay bumpers bad..interior bad, everything pitted...non oem radio..wood bad, seats were redone in mouse fur...poor car though

I am sure I paid them more for the parts then they did for the car I will go back in a couple weeks maybe sooner..so if anyone needs a custom part order I am sure we can work it out! Keep an eye on here for updates!!

Ohhh pppss I also found a sears cargo box on the side of the freeway annnddd another thule roof rack with ski holders at the JY!! Man I had a killer day too day...now to go die in bed for 24hrs

Got everything drug out of the car!

Here are some photos, I've got some serious cleaning to do..

Here is the rare, from what I am getting at center seat. This was an option, from what I have read to make the front bucket seats more a bench style, also found out that a bench seat could be ordered for the car..who knew..

The "seat converter" isn't particularly rare although that MOUSE FUR certainly is!!! Do you know what year the car was? I rebuilt my solexes and am not entirely satisfied and might want another go so I'm somewhat interested in the carbs... The temp sender is worth getting if the capillary tube isn't broken and if you can get it and the cluster out without breaking it... Fuel sender is difficult to obtain if it isn't petrified which it probably is. Turn indicator switch if it cancels in both directions is worth getting.

lol I know, have to use mouse for something The car was a 1961 220S Double headlights. I don't trust the junk yards year mark but seems about right.

Any idea on what Solex carbs go for? I just want a fair price...seen the ones that sold on ebay for 595$...I really want to put them on just to see if I can find someone crazy enough to pay that..then it will be a good new year Though I better shut up now, knowing my luck they came off a gullwing

I was looking at the cluster, love the vertical gauges! Thing was so pitted, so I didn't try to get it...but will look for that...turn stalk was the same, but now that you mention it...I remember how much a replacement cost for a w115...I would have gladly dealt with pitting and save 75% off the cost of a new one...

Here are photos of the center seat, I am sorry I can't figure out a price. I tried my damndest to find anything that has sold similar...I will put it on ebay with a fair opening price I think, and remember people...if it doesn't sell I drop prices but have to start somewhere. Have I mentioned yet, how much I like it? I was thinking of cutting my center console out of my euro and fitting this in...don't ask the plans for the grill

Also I opened the aftermarket cover to look for part numbers. I am more then willing to resew the cover together, I am also more then happy to grab the hinge it connected too if someone needs that! Just talk with me!!

crack in tray

Original red mbtex is still on the armrest but the piping has been cut off

Sorry lots o photos. I just love to share finds! find them new homes and research them! and um I am kinda have a perverted love affair withe mercedes

Slightly confused. "Grab the hinge"??? Everything you ave in the pictures is what you need, except it looks like you have two self-tapping screws that are wrong. They screw into the holes that currently are in the seat bracket under the cover. Take out the old screws and screw the bracket in and put on the arm rest...

I don't know what the solexes are worth, I'll probably get some at some point, those are a little too early for me. They do not go to a gullwing, sorry! They are worth the most as a complete set -- the armrest, the center cushion, and the tray that the cushion goes in. There are LOTS of configurations of different shape trays and cushion must match tray.

My guess is that they aren't worth a lot if they correct upholstery is destroyed. I would remove the mouse hair but that's just me to see what is under them...

Those were actually what held the tray to the hump...I blame that mix up with the upholster :p

I was thinking if someone wanted to attempt to mount it to another model, they may be interested in the hinge..

Well darn, there goes my new year lol I was noticing all that from googling, this option came with a ton of different options.

Oh I know, they would be worth a good deal more if the original upholstery was still there. Only thing under the tray cushion is the horsehair pad...I was thinking Gahh might be able to create the correct covers...

Well I went over the carbs, to make them at least decent looking. I think I found one item that contribute to the car going to the recyclers. Looks like a kitchen table rebuild was preformed at one time. Some questionable repairs seem to have been preformed. Just seeing these, I know what all the gasser complain about when these cars sit. Another item that I can't find enough comparable sales to make a buy it now price. The rest of the stuff is more common and easier to price once I put some elbow grease into them...

Oh god they are I didn't realize how bad they were. I am willing to take 75$ plus shipping for them if any one is interested. Now I know why the poor the car sat for long. Wish I could have gotten it before the rust sat in.

Not sure about the clock, I have it in my pile of parts to still clean. If it doesn't I will repair it.

Today I will also be cleaning up more parts.

I would like to put a price of 100$ on the trim rings, center caps, cowl, wiper arms thought this may change as I clean them. This will hopefully happen today. That would include shipping. Will also get pics up and all that. Check my site for details..

edit I mean once I clean them they may not look as good as I think
