83 240D parts for sale

From an '83 240D with 210,000 on it (crashed):

1. Complete drive shaft including flexplates, center bearing and carrier. Good shape.

2. One complete rear axle assembly. Boots beginning to crack but still sealed. CV's good and tight.

Ok, so I'm new to this and bought them thinking that transmission clunk was something other than a bunch of stupid vacuum leaks!! It's one way to learn!

Make me an offer!

Where abouts are you located? And do you still have the main driveshaft?? And is the driveshaft still in one piece or did you take it apart?

Do you have a drive shaft for a manual 240D. I accedently pulled mine apart while pulling the engine and it does not have marks for putting it back togather. It may be cheaper to get a used one than have the old one rebalanced.
thanks Steve

Steve,

I still have the shaft. I painted some marks on it before I pulled it at the salvage yard. It was in fact from a manual trans 240D. It's in the corner of the garage in two pieces now. My marks aren't perfect, you might be off a spline or two when putting it back together so I'm not sure this will help you much. In any case, it doesn't fit the '8430D I'm driving or the '83 300SD I just bought. You (or anyone else) can have it for $10.00 to cover wrapping it up and shipping cost. No rush, it's just taking up space here.

Fred

Do you still have the axle? I need it for the left side of my '82 300td. Do you know if yours will fit? Thanks,

Arash

No, sorry. The axle and drives shaft are long gone. If you search Fastlane for the part for different years/models you can cross reference to see if the same part number is used on different models. Fred
