Want to buy antenna for 95 E300 diesel

will pay a reasonable price. It wouldn't retract yesterday at the car wash and I risked it and it is now REALLY junk!

Tom,

You can find a mast on eBay. Not too expensive.

I've found the all chrome ones work well, but the ones that have the last section in black are not good wrt reception.

The black segment factory mast has a metal tip at the end of the antenna mast and may be seen distinctly when you look at a factory mast. The knock offs do not have this metal tip, and based upon performance, I've concluded that the black portion is for show only.

I *think* the masts are interchangable amongst the MB antennas. The only difference (for the most part) is the length and angle of the tube that is located between the motor box and the car's fender.

The other difference is the nylon "tail" of the mast, some are smooth, some are serrated.

I've not had a lot of luck getting a used mast to free up, every once in a while I get lucky. They take a lot of abuse, and if not lubricated, can get pretty stuck. Plus, even very minor bends can cause the mast segments to bind.

Jim

I need the rubber cone too. Maybe the mast is all I need and not the entire assembly.
