Well, I got out there and crawled under the car, this car doesn't have the original correct diff. Someone has replaced it with what looks to be a standard 300E diff, the hydraulic lines that go to it have been removed and whom ever did it cut the line fittings off and welded them closed. Explains the the 4matic issues it had. I apologize, I wasn't aware this had been done, I actually only drove this car for about 9 months before it got parked and became a parts car. It does have the rest of the AWD parts in it, and it does have the sway bar if that is of any use!

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

Ah that's a shame! I have a M104 swapped 190e that runs an ASD differential from a 300te 4matic, and I'm afraid that the custom cut axles wouldn't work with a 16v LSD diff? I don't mean to threadjack, but would you by any chance know if the width of the ASD differential is the same as a 190e diff? If so, then my problem is a bit less complicated.
Thanks in advance and good luck with the sale!

Sorry about that That sound like a pretty slick 190e! I really like that chassis, I would love to have my whole 606 build and everything in that chassis, like a 16 car or Sportline. Smaller, lighter, more nimble! I'm don't know any exact width specs of the diffs but I do believe some had used the 16v limited slip diff in W124 cars. That is an assumption though and you know what they say about those! And it could be someone just switched the actual center section and used the same carrier housing too? Might search the forum up & down, I remember reading some stuff about this before. Were you getting the 4matic ASD to actually work as a limited slip hydrauliclly?

Update report!: The oil coolers threads are perfect and the rest of it in pretty good shape as is the rest of it for a high mileage part. It was a little oily around the bottom but the lower hose was no good and leaky but I don't think the cooler leaks at all. Its pulled off and cleaned up for you. Even flushed it out with mineral spirits (mostly to rinse the oil out so it doesn't leak in the package

I'm in need of the emergency brake spreader aluminum assemble which pulls both rear wheel ebrake shoes and is located directly above the drive shaft on the 126.

Ok, I have an generic idea of said part, kinda a Y-shaped thing that links the 2 right/left side cables to the main cable? I will go take a peek under it for you and make sure its intact/in-place in that area. If so, ill get it pulled out and report back!

Hi, I need an auxiliary water pump for my '88 260E. I'm guessing that an '89 model part will work...? Thank you...Dale

Should we assume you live in Malibu? No mention anywhere.

I would love Malibu weather to work in but unfortunately not, I live a little ways away from Wichita, KS.

Deciphering my screen name: I drag raced a 79' Malibu wagon with a small block chevy. Small Blocks = mouse motor and Big Blocks are Rat motors in old school hot rodder terminology So hence my screen name (mighty-mouse-malibu) In real life I go by Chris

Well unfortunately the 89' doesn't have one anymore. I did get this one as a pretty stripped out parts car I bought for body parts but still has plenty of parts left, sadly no aux pump. I checked The TE aux pump but it didn't work, I applied 12v and nothing and hooked the meter to it and it shows an open I may be roaming the salvage yards and pick-a-part and if I find one, you will be first to know if, my apologies Dale
