This is a refurbished air cleaner that will fit 1978-1980 W116 chassis 300SD only, but NOT ones that came with cyclonic oil-separator and EGR valve (1980 California emissions models). These are hard to find and always seem to be rusty.

I had this one stripped down to bare metal and powder coated semi gloss black. The finish is much more durable than spray paint. It may have some specs of dust in the finish, but it will dress up your engine bay very nicely. The original rubber seal under the lid was left on and that area was not powder coated, though there is a little overspray.

It has the proper wing nut, and the hold down clamps were cleaned up to be presentable (but weren't replated). It comes with a very nice intake tube and clamps. Also included is the pipe which goes from said tube up to the rubber elbow on the valve cover.

I will give you new genuine Mercedes-Benz rubber (not aftermarket): intake rings, the short hose that goes between the pipe and the air cleaner, a grommet and plug to fit in the hole at the bottom of the air cleaner (depending on what type of vacuum pump you are using), and a new grommet to fit at the end of the pipe.

I do have a nice used K&N air filter which fits the air cleaner. It is NOT included, however, I would include it for $30 extra and it would come with cleaning fluid and oil.
