OM denotes a diesel.

You're simply after M103 pistons. That may aid in your search.

(and when looking for pistons you need to specify the size wanted)

To expound... MB matched the pistons to the finished bores. Hence there are a few different "standard" sizes. IIRC you will have a stamp on the piston and the block. IE: if you have a hole stamped with "X" then you want an "X" piston to go back in it. "X" I'm sure is one option, but don't recall the others. If there are any stamps they indicate a deviation from nominal and should be noted and replacement parts matched.

Mercedes did pretty much the same thing with the crank and rod bearings. Makes it a huge PITA when rebuilding these engines. On the up side, they are some of the best engines ever built.

Yep, and I had no idea that BB was so popular overseas. ( It was released in 1980 then a part 2 later on. )
