WTB 190E 2.3 automatic transmission - Midwest
Looking for a good used Automatic transmission for a 190E 2.3. I suppose a 722.4 out of a 260E or a 190E 2.6 may work as well.
I'm in Ohio, looking for something within like 200 miles or so.

I know I am way outside of 200 miles here in Atlanta but I have one that came out of a car that was kept up until the headgasket went. I believe the transmission was rebuilt at some point because the casing is much cleaner than anything on the engine. It has a sticker on it that was not a factory sticker though the printing has faded away. Even if it wasn't rebuilt, the car only had ~170K miles. If you are interested send me a PM, I can throw in some 2.3 parts as well if you decide you want it.

I found one 5 miles from my house so I don't need one now, but I appreciate the replies.
A 190D trans wouldn't work because my understanding is the shift points are lower because the diesel doesn't rev as high. Also the early and late 2.3 transmissions aren't the same. I think they change in 87, but you can see the split on car-part. So any 2.6 trans while it would bolt up, probably wouldn't completely plug and play.
