Catch No. 2: I think the transmission needs to be rebuilt. I towed the car 700 miles on a car dolly and I think I melted the brake bands or something. I didn't care because I was planning on a swap anyway.

I would not trust the planetary gear sets after a 700 mile dry wheels down tow. Not only were they starved for lubrication, some trans when back driven will spin the gears to interstellar RPM.

As another user just posted, the transmission is very likely forked, thus why the low low price of please just take it. so please keep that in mind.
