I was wanting to megasquirt my 190E as I have been having nothing but trouble with the CIS system but now I am thinking of swapping in a 3.2 M104 since it is already EFI and would probably be easier to do than a megasquirt conversion. I already have a 3.0L M103 but I only paid $100 for it so it's not like I'm losing much going to the M104. I'd prefer to buy from someone on here instead of the yards given the issues with the headgaskets on these engines. I'll also need the wiring harness and ECU from a W124 but those I can probably find at the yard.

I'd be careful with yard harnesses from E320s, make sure they don't have insulation rot. Also, I believe you'll need the immobilizer unit to make it play nice. Also, a cook-your-own/megasquirt on a M10x isn't that bad, though you'll have to tune it, which you won't with a factory ECU.

I've got one with 119K on the clock. car was hit in the left rear and moved the wheel (also popped the back of the sunroof up a little when the sunroof motor moved)

Currently it's still attached to the transmission.
