HELP Parts Car
I bought it for a '83 300D...when I got it home it looks
like my '85 D, same body but with a 4 cyl. engine and it has the 240 D on trunk lid. I want to sell it as a parts car but don't know what it is...any help appreciated.

Has to be a 240D...If so, it should also have manual windows.
Same body/chassis as your 300D (W123), with a different engine, tranny, and less "bells and whistles". Still has many interchangeable parts, however. Mike

The Parts Car
I called Mercedes today (5/22) and they check the VIN
number and it is a '81 300 D and one of the previous owners bolted a 240 D in it. I have it for sale AS IS for $850.00 or will sell the body for $500.00 or the 240 D engine for 500.00. The body is in good shape and the engine may need the pump, it turns over...the radiator shroud is missing and the radiator drain plug. The car shows just under 223000 miles.
