Wanted to provide an update.
I am now down to 3 sets for customers who provided / sent their injectors to me prior to this thread. I had more sets than I thought. Was 9 sets on 8-9 July and those remaining 3 sets will be shipped in the next day or so. So, having cleared things up, I am thinking the following. Because I received a LOT of emails / PMs regarding injectors, I suggest the following. Those folks who already pinged me, I will send an invoice for payment with the following UNDERSTANDING .... It is incredibly hot in my garage. I've started working on my own projects a little, but it's way too hot to stay out in the garage for more than a few hours. Therefore, there will be a DELAY of around 1 to 2 weeks for injector sets versus my normal 2 - 4 day turn-around. So, I will reach out to folks and see if they want to pre-pay with the above understanding. If you don't, then that's fine too. I will ship to folks who pre-pay first ... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am truly touched and thankful for all the numerous PMs and Emails I received. Even folks whose injectors I did over 4 years ago are still paying me compliments. However, I think I am set in my current decision. |

ONE NEW Injector for sale
FOR SALE: One (1) BRAND NEW injector Bosch (entire injector) KCA 30 S 44 Turbo 135 BAR. This is what folks buy when they buy brand new from here or other sites. I suspect it has an Indian made nozzle. A customer sent me this. And yes, when I am done with your injectors, this is what they normally looked like. $25 shipped CONUS.

+1 for greazzer. Phenomenal work and price.
Installed 4 rebuilt injectors I bought from him yesterday and wow what a tremendous difference. Much smoother idle, more power going up hills, and generally quieter engine. Probably a few other things I've yet to notice (like hopefully an uptick in fuel economy). Thanks again! |

I bought a pop tester and rebuilt my own injectors. It obviously had nothing to do with money. It's just that I'm old and have to do something to make me feel important and productive.
I can't imagine how anyone could do the work you did for the price. Even knowing that rebuilding something gets easier with experience I still can't believe you did all this for the money. You've been a mainstay here and I'm sorry to see it end.

I believe that will be a total of 44 sets done since I posted this thread. I should be getting out 2 sets this weekend and 2 more the next from the older orders. Again, sorry for the delays. I tried my best to move what I had, some folks waiting longer than others but they will get shipped. |

OK, 1 sale pending for OM616, and I will have to really check the remainder. Otherwise, down to 5 sets to ship and I am thinking just about done. Thanks again to everyone.

ok...
I've gotten more injector sets from Greazzer than I can count... NEVER had any issues with them at all, and am FLABBERGASTED that he is getting out of the business... it looks like he will stay in VERY VERY SHORT orders... but it's hot in his garage... so, I think I will bring him a minisplit to setup in his garage... gotta keep him comfortable... he had asked me to do a quote for something like this, but I got busy, and had absolutely no idea this is what he needed it for. so... MARK... stay rebuilding please...

LOL .. Hey John, I think I outlasted the brutal sunny Columbia, S.C. summer heat. Instead of limited 5 am to 6 am tinkering time, I have now 4 hours because it's rather cool in the early AM. Next late spring for my split unit in the garage I am thinking, but thanks anyways.
I truly see now why folks charge a premium for everything ... to guard against risk and that one transaction ... |

Excluding a few invoices I owe which will get done by tonight, I am NOW SOLD OUT ! Again, many thanks. Some folks are pushing a month or so waiting and thank you for your patience. I tackled the sell-out in a fashion to move the most sets the fastest and some folks got pushed to the back of the line. You will get your injectors shortly.
Over 5+ years, I was close to 600 sets, around 590 sets and one complaint from a set done in 2014 but complained about in 2017. That person got his money back. I wonder if Autozone or WalMart would take back merchandise 3 years after the fact and after it was used for three years? As a recap, about everyone has been great to deal with. Many kind words along the way and now from dozens of prior customers. I see how customer service is a really tough business. All it takes is one person to ruin 99 prior transactions. I guess that's another 1%. Not sure why that is so. Something tells me it's a combination of someone wanting to get something for free and a view that others should be indemnifying the risk a person takes, or entitlement ... who knows what makes people really tick. Had one person "accidentially" send me back the wrong injectors since he wanted a re-do over his perceived problems only to send me injectors I never serviced and then demanded a freebie since he took his time to send me his other injectors. I had to say no on that one. Another person claimed all of his injectors leaked and wanted a full refund. Pointed out that was literally impossible. Maybe one leaker does sneak pass the goalie ... the person just wanted a full refund, so a sneaky way to get the service and work for free. Didn't happen since I told him to ship them back and I will hold pressure for a full 2 minutes each to see how all were leaking. Never heard back from him. One person a month or so back bought a set during my going out of business thread. After 2 whole days, emailed me and wanted to know if they were shipped yet. Pointed out delays of 2 - 3 weeks, maybe even longer were spelled out in advance. The person insisted he could not wait and wanted them done "now" although I said from the beginning that was not going to happen. Then, the best email was his opinion he should get payment refunded AND the injectors free because of his horrible wait (3 days from the date he paid the invoice). After some other 'choice' emails, I just refunded all of his money. I got a really long winded email in return and did not realize that this idiot thought I refunded his money AND was going to send him the injectors. He was "praising" me for doing the right thing after all ... I guess it pays to read long winded emails from idiots. That was why I had one extra set of turbos which I owe another member. A few other "war stories", but like i said, just 5 or 6 or so ... Lost around 7 sets of loaners before I started charging a refundable core deposit. NO MORE CORE DEPOSITS will be refunded at this point if any cores are out there. And, those folks who stole my loaners, keep them. Some are still visiting this forum. When I quit this forum, I will post your name and address. Lots of folks asked me to change my mind ... not sure that's going to happen. I see why folks have so many rules, regulations, and so forth ... the Golden Rule has tarnished over the years for a small handful of folks ... Again, thanks ! |

Had a number of discussions with a number of forum members, and others and got a TON of advice and insight into sales, et cet. So, I took the plunge so to speak. Not sure how this is going to work out ...
Decided a few days ago to go public so to speak and not let a few knuckleheads get me down. Check out: http://www.dieselfuelinjector.guru/ Mark |
