The front DS section 1244108101 (diagram #104) was replaced in 2000 and has the MB part number and date sticker (see photo). The rear section (diagram #101) U joint has some detent resistance and will need to be rebuilt. The rear flex disk was damaged during removal.

Hello I might be interested in the drive shaft. I just acquired a 5 speed manual from an 86 300e which I may be installing in my 95 e300 d.

If this is something you can use it would be great.

Something to consider: The 5-sp DS I have came from a W124 chassis car with an M102 motor and a 717.412 transmission. The DS length is specific to that setup and also for W124 250D and 260E models, according to the EPC

It may or may not be the correct length for your setup.

When you have your manual trans. bolted to the motor, check the length to the diff. and lets see whether my DS will fit.

Where are you located?

Falegname2682, If your 95 is like my 94/95 gasser the front shaft offered above may not be long enough. Mine has the center bearing mounted to an adapter that moves it back resulting in the rear shaft being shorter then previous years. I had to lengthen the donor manual trans front shaft. Entire MT swap is well worth it.
