Lebenz, Where Are My Sway Bars?

Hello everyone, a few weeks back, LeBenz had an auction for a set of 400E sway bars, and I was the winning bidder. Till this day I havent heard from LeBenz, save for an email I received shortly after the aution's end. In said e-mail, LeBenz asked me for my shipping information so that he might calculate shipping costs and alert me to how much I owe him. I replied immediately and have gotten no response yet...Has anyone seen LeBenz? If so, can somebody please tell him that Sisco is looking for him about this unfinished business and steer him to this post? I appreciate it very much...LeBenz, if you are reading this, please email me at sisco2gs@aol.com and alert me to what your plans are, I would appreciate it if you can just get in contact with me, even if it is to give me some bad news (i.e., you were walking the sway bar through the park and got mugged, etc, etc.). I thank everyone in advance and hope im not stirring things up too much, I just want to be treated fairly, is that so much to ask?

This sucks but....

Sorry, Sisco, I forgot about the sway bar. Um, I wasn’t mugged but I would be if I went foreword with the PITA involved in shipping this. Accordingly, I will need to box it, pad it, and ship it. While you agreed to pay for the shipping, it is simply not worth, what was the winning bid $22 (?) or something like that to hunt down a box and padding, then arrange for a pickup, or worse, spend an hour driving it somewhere to then stand in line and then ship it.

Again, sorry. I wanted it to go to a good home but it would be less costly for me in terms of time and grief to just buy you a new one than to deal with the headache involved in getting it to you. However I am not going to buy you a new one, either!

I’m going to pay the trash man $5 to take it away, unless there is a W124 owner around Seattle that wants to stop by and pick up a 400e sway bar....

Also, the original offer was for 1 front sway bar...

Sisco, hope you understand.....

shipping

I sell on ebay and I have sent sway bars by UPS with just wrapping them in bubble wrap and tagging the thing.
cost was about $3 for the wrap, took me about 5 min to wrap it up. you can have the buyer have ups pick it up with a call tag.
less work for the seller.

lebenz, you made a deal with it, go through with it. Im only a teen, and I know if I offer something, I am going to go through with it. You spent more time complaining about it than actually just doing it. You made a contract with sisco. This is how I see it.

Sisco, maybe you should just get a 500E swaybar.

omegabenz,

You show maturity and responsibility beyond your years. You obviously have good parents.

Lebenz,

Is this what they taught you at Oxford?

Have a great day,

Lightbulb A deal is a deal, or ?

Oxford!

Man, that is telling, didn't Bill Clinton attend Oxford? Oh well, that explains it! Integrity, honesty and ethical behavior are elective rather than required course work!

I guess the first clue was the auction end-time worming around?

It wasn't so long ago that Donkey set the standard! Now? Maybe this topic deserves to be kicked around in the Open Discussion Forum, ala Joe B. vs. Donkey, an open a frank discussion might be interesting and illustrative.

It's people like Lebenz that put shame to the Internet. I would suggest he take his computer and donate it to a local charity where it can be used correctly..... Then again, that may be stretching it with lebenz,, too much work.
Grow Up Man!!

Here is a quote from Ebay's rules:

5.2 Binding Bids. Except for items listed in a category under the Non-binding Bid Policy, if you receive at least one bid at or above your stated minimum price (or in the case of reserve auctions, at or above the reserve price), you are obligated as the seller to complete the transaction with the highest bidder upon the auction's completion, unless there is an exceptional circumstance, such as: (a) the buyer fails to meet the terms of your listing (such as payment method), or (b) you cannot authenticate the buyer's identity.

This is a binding contract ya know!

I'm in Kirkland Wa, if LeBenz wants to give me the bar, I can probably get it shipped to you Sisco, as I would just wrap it in bubble wrap like speedtek does and drop it by UPS on a Saturday.

I am available this weekend to pick it up.

I second that accolade for 2phast, Austin. It's great to see someone seeking solutions rather than confrontations.

Girls,

Thanks for the commentaries, encouragement, berating and especially the offer to help. I will write it one last time: UPS requires a box and padding. It is simply not worth my time to fulfill their shipping requirements. Should the buyer want to pay for the packaging (box, padding) under the umbrella of “shipping costs,” and will send a call tag, I might reconsider. But frankly if he wants a sway bar that badly, he should get a new one for a 500e from FastLane. That’s what I did.

If any of you wish to make a reservation for me before Lucifer for my mis-deed so be it. If you wish to make an appointment for me in front of a gun sight, I suggest you meet with a Psychiatrist ASAP.

And for a few selected folks:

Larry, gosh you seem like such a big boy. It must be a special day for you! I am so proud of your bumbling attempt to stick-up for someone and actually standing up (sic) to me! !WOW! Oh, by the way, I did not go to Oxford. I’m a mere commoner who worked his way through the public schools. Larry, not to be indelicate, but you must continue to work on the emotional issue that you seem to have with me. Maybe try again to berate me. Perhaps suggest that I’m reluctant to waste time and effort in the guise of giving a good deal to a fellow MB owner. I feel so shameful! Maybe we can start the American Silver Star, where the successful amongst us help those who are struggling with their used and worn down Mercedes vehicles. LOL

Adam: I keep meaning to ask you, do you know anyone who sells copiers or network printers for a great price? Thanks for providing Ebay information, except, of course, a 3 year old could and would tell you this isn’t Ebay....

Billybob (William B.) “Buckley:” Yes put the topic in Open Discussion: As described by an East Coast worm. Ha Ha Ha.

Sisco: Okay: I suck. I won’t go through with a $22 dollar sale because it would cost me more in time and inconvenience than $22 is worth to me. Again, are you willing to pay for the box, padding, a call tag, + the $22 or whatever the winning bid was, in advance, of course. Sup to you.

2phast: Thanks sincerely for your kindness.

The buyer hasn’t paid anything. He is out nothing, except perhaps an unfulfilled desire. And a few extra UPPER CASE LETTERS. Such is life. Get used to it.

Those are my last comments on this thread. Have fun flaming, girls
