4Sale 16X8 8-hole OEM E500 Wheels

The pic is for illustration purposes only. Just replaced my OEM Mercedes 8-hole wheels with 17" AMGs.

Offset(ET) is 34. Wheels are in excellent condition with only minor paint scrapes on the outer edge of the rims Still have Michelin Pilot XGT 225/55X16 mounted (not much life left -wear bars are becoming visible).

These wheels will fit a 500E or E500 and any R129 SL class vehicle. They will fit other 124 class vehicles with a fender roll. If they also fit other vehicles, I am not aware of it.

I would rather not ship because of the boxing difficulty and expense.

Since I have no clue of their value, I'll ask $400.00 OBO.

will E500 OE wheels fit E420

Does anyone know if these will fit a 1994 E420 with no suspension mods, or fender roll. I want to keep it stealth if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No! Your OEM wheels are 6.5Jx15H2 aluminum alloy. These are 8.00Jx16. That is an inch and a half wider than your current.

Hi Tom- I posted a response on the other thread...

I'm interested if you would be happy with $300 + shipping.

Fed-Ex appears to be the cheapest shipping co- and probably will not be more than $60 total shipping charges...

I just shipped a set of wheels to be re-chromed and it was like $40 bucks ground (no addl insurance)

I mosey'd on down to the local tire/wheel shop and got a discarded set of cardboard boxes for the wheels gratis!

Let me know if this is B/O for ya and if this goes through I thank you for your help since it'll be a bit more work to ship them to me.

tks-fad

PS- I'll pre-pay with certified funds no problemo

Hi fad!

I answered on Dave Hendy's tread. If no local takers by Saturday, they are yours.

I do have the caps and the lugs - but I will need to keep 5 of the lugs as the AMG wheels use a very short lug and the spare in the trunkwell is still the OEM wheel.

If you are interested in the fifth wheel let me know. It won't be cheap though. It has not been out of the well since the car left Sindlefigen back in '94. It is brand new with a new 225/55x16 Michelin Pilot XGT mounted on it. $500.00 more and it is yours

Tom

mein Fehler! I meant to say Sindelfingen which is a few kilometers down the Autostrada from Sindlefigen.

Hi Tom- and thanks for the message.

I'm on vacation this week w/ no access to e-mail.

My residence address:

35 El Campo Drive
San Jose, CA 95127
(408)-254-2651

pager: 415-207-1443
office: 415-765-2609

If you would post costs here, I can pick up details and send you a money order asap.

I believe that Fed Ex offers the best pricing on wheel shipping.

Thanks again and best regards!

Fed Ex is less expensive than UPS huh!

And to think that I trusted you to give Tom Woolner advice on scoring points with the GLBs - You must work for the government buying $2600.00 toilet seats for the B1 Stealth.

Fed Ex says: $54.94 per 17x17 by 10" 25 lb insured contents for $100.00 box times 4 from 02186 to 95127. That is more than 2/3 of your purchase price.

UPS says $39.19 per 17x17x17 box (I could pack 2 wheels per box if combined weight is under 65lbs) times 2 insured contents for $200.00 per box from 02186 to 95127.

Tom

PS GLB = Good Lookin Babes and do you know what each one of these wheels weigh?

Hi Tom-Good Morning and thanks for the competitive shipping costs info!

Jeez- you busted me w/ working for the govt. thing.... (not currently) but have to confess I was a commissioned US Treasury Staffer in my fomer life!

RE: GLBs
In our area of the woods appears that a good majority GLBs are initally attracted to the "pissing $ away/ money is not an issue" employed male types- coupled w/ the correct loose attitude= good times!

I just shipped a set of chromed OEM 500e wheels to Los Angeles, w/ Fed Ex weighing them in at 26lbs a piece. I imagine that sans the triple chroming layers the OEM painted wheels would be less than ~25lbs/ea.

If you would confirm $160 shipping + $300 (wheels/3setslugs/4paintedcaps); I can send you funds pronto!

Many Thanks!

I like your math better than mine

With two to a box and each box being $39.19 and, I am only sending you 4 - not 8 wheels that comes to $78.38 - not $160.00.

If you prefer that they be individually boxed, I will go back on the UPS website and look up that info. UPS sells a box that is 17x17x17 and can hold up to 65 lbs. I guessed the weight of the rim to be 25 lbs when I queried the UPS site. I assume that since the rim width is stated to be 8", it is in fact just that. Two to a box with a cardboard separator and lotsa scrunched up newspaper insulation should get them to San Jose in the same condition that they will be in when they leave Milton.

Let me know which method and I will call the carrier of your choice and get a quoted figure as I trust web site generated data as much as I would trust Osama with my future well being.

Tom

Where U vaca-ing?

...its that govt. math! Thanks for the correction!~

>UPS ground in a couple of boxes is cool! ($378.38 cover it?)

Let me know and I'll send USD tomorrow to your address (yet to be revealed) via US Mail!

I'm vacationing here at home- not too exciting- prepping the house and cars for winter and general R&R.

Best regards,

hi fad

I called my Wheel & Tire man and him say Nien to two in a box - weight is too much on each other during transit and can skew the wheel outta round - is the main reason the OEM folks ship wheels one to a box.

UPS says $22.01 per box so send a cheque for $388.04 to:

PS: ROTFLMAO - prepping your house and cars for Winter!! - Here in New England that means re-caulking the windows and doors, burlapping the shrubs, draining the pool and turning the temp up on the outside Hottub - putting the Benz up on jacks, inside the temp-controlled bubble and silicone spraying everything.
What does it mean there in San Jose? Close most of the windows and turn up the heat in the pool a coupla degrees - AND U needed a week off to do that - U need a girlfriend! <BEG>
