This was removed from a 1994 S600 a few years back. It was working when removed but I cannot guarantee that it works properly so it is being sold as-is. $25 + $15 S&H. Everything including instruction manual is there. I am not sure whether or not this works through the radio antenna or not, so you might need to get a separate antenna. This also has the portable handset which docks into the main hands free system.

what kinda service is used for this type of car phone and and will the portable work away from the car?

I have no idea what type of service this phone works with. I would assume that you can activate it through any provider you choose. As for digital or analog, I do not know. But yes, the portable handset will work away from the vehicle.

analog phone. They work quote well even though it's analog because they put out about 3 watts.

I still use mine ('94 S500 cpe) and it works ok. Of course, not as good as digital but I've never lost contact when in the service area.
