8 hole alloy rims on EBAY
In case anybody's looking, they're 7.5 J X 16H2 ET51. They look good. One has a scuff in the clearcoat and could stand refinishing. Another has about 3" curb rash. They don't fit my offset. Starting price is $200 for the set.
Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2416920072&category=43956&rd=1 I'm also looking for some 15X7, 25mm offset wheels for my 420SEL (The same car that these rims did not fit).

You need a 1" spacer to make the rim fit on that car....

I'm worried about possible tire rubbing or alignment problems from a spacer. Have you seen spacers work over the long term without damage?

As long as the spacer is made correctly you should have no problems. One of the main thing is to have the spacer hub-centric, which means it will have a centering ring built into it.
I sometimes have to maching a centering ring that fits on the hub after you put the spacer on. I just did this to a M107. The customer put 18" rims on the car. We get no vibration at high speeds. before I got the job the rims would vibrate violently at 50 mph. |
