The wheels never sold. Still sitting here. Anyone interested can make me an offer and I will do my best. The wheels are pristine, some of the best used wheels I've ever seen. 18x8.5 et44 up front and 18x9.5 et46 in the rear. Tires up front are in great condition while the rears need to be replaced (Dunlop Sport 9000 all the way around). One wheel has a tiny curb rash that you can barely see, the rest are fine. Anyone interested can make me an offer @ motorsports@autoassets.com . Thanks a lot

In my opinion, starting an eBay auction at $1000 opening bid is a mistake, (unless it's for something worth much much more, and everyone knows it). First, you pay more to start the auction that way because the higher the opening bid, the more you pay up front, and if someone like me... who thinks $1000 for a set of used rims and tires is a bit much... comes along, we will never bid. Seeing others bid is what motivates many people to bid way too much. The lower you start bidding at, the more likely you will get bidding action early on.
If I was selling those wheels on eBay, I'd start them at $10 opening bid maybe, make sure the auction ended on a weekend...and set a reserve at the minimum price I would accept for them. Don't forget, most people will have to pay shipping too, so that lowers the amount they will want to pay. Good luck with your future auctions. George |
