'95 E300D Whole parts car, possible, URGENT
I had a relatively mild front end hit last week with my '95 E300D. The car is being totaled by the insurance company and I have the option to buy it.
I would be interested in selling the entire car, NOT parting it out. The car has 147K on it. It is dark blue with a blue (grayish blue) interior. Sorry that I don't know the official color designations. The hit was hard enough to fire the passenger air bag, but not the driver's side. Hood is mildly folded, both front fenders are folded to some extent. Passenger head light smashed, radiator holed as it was pushed into the fan, A/C condenser may be holed but I don't know. The car has brand new struts and shocks, motor mounts, ball joints, wheels are excellent, tires are at about 60 - 70%. This was my daily driver and an excellent running car in excellent condition with no rust. I do not believe that there is any structural damage to suspension and running gear. During the collision, I was braking, as hard as possible and my front end nose dived under the rear bumper of the car I hit. My front bumper is therefore not really smashed in, but the force of the blow was taken by the grille and front "soft" parts. I have photos available if you are seriously interested. I have to make a decision on this car no later than tomorrow October 29. Again, I will NOT part the car. It is all or nothing. I will not ship the car - you must take care of that. It is not driveable due to the radiator. It is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. If you are interested in this car, please PM me using the function from mercedesshop. Make me an offer, as they say. Rgds, Chris W. Last edited by Chris W.; 10-28-2003 at 11:41 AM. |

I would be interested but I am not able to make any kind of assessment of the value or what to offer. It might be more interesting to me if you would accept an offer more like "insurance value + $100". But I wouldn't make any offer without knowing what the insurance company has valued the car.
