Need Axles Quick!!!!

If anybody has a set of GOOD 126 axles for a resonable price e-mail me at breckman99@yahoo.com
And when I say good I mean good for another 200K!! not "look good". or if anybody knows where to get them rebuilt I would rather do that.

Dont buy NAPA ones they fall apart, and leak everwhere, and rust in Arizona...ha.

116 Axles

I have a set from a 116 with 86K and I believe the axles are the same as the 126 axles and I know the mileage is accurate because I disassembled the engine and the pistons had no ridges...The PO's son drove it without enough oil...I don't know how to pull the axles from the Differential...I pulled the whole assembly(axles&diff)...Can you give me any directions...thanks Jim

I sure can, you first remove the diff. cover. Once you have this off you will see the big ring gear and a smaller set of gears. Inside the smaller set you will see the axle shaft ends coming through and a retaining clip on each axle. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO. you remove these clips and the axles slide right out. How much do you want for them? E-mail me at breckman99@hotmail.com
(previous e-mail is not working right now for some reason)

Retainers

The retaining clips need to be rotated until you can hook something in the hole or grab it with plairs. Pull on the clip and it will come right out and then you can pull the axle out of the differential. The retaining clip has a offset on it with a hole in the offset... Jim
